To place a bid, you must first create a verified account and fund your wallet. Navigate to any active auction, enter your bid amount (must be higher than the current bid), and click 'Place Bid'. Your bid amount will be reserved in your wallet balance until you are outbid or the auction ends.

When you place a bid, the full bid amount is immediately reserved from your wallet balance and held securely. If you are outbid, the funds are instantly returned to your available wallet balance. If you win, the funds remain in escrow until the seller delivers the item and you confirm receipt.

Bids on NaijaBid are binding commitments. You cannot retract a bid once placed. Please ensure you are prepared to complete the purchase before bidding.

When the countdown reaches zero, the highest bidder wins. Both the buyer and seller are immediately notified. The winner's reserved bid amount is automatically transferred into our secure escrow system, and the seller is instructed to proceed with shipping the item.

Go to your Wallet page and click 'Add Funds'. You will be redirected to Paystack's secure checkout where you can pay via card, bank transfer, or USSD. Funds are credited to your wallet immediately upon confirmation.

Listings are reviewed within 24 hours. You'll be notified by email when your listing is approved or if changes are required.

You can sell a wide range of authentic physical goods — electronics, fashion, art, collectibles, vehicles, and more. Items must be genuine, legally owned, and not on our prohibited list.

Listing an item is currently free. However, a small platform commission is deducted from the final sale price when your item successfully sells. This fee helps us maintain a secure platform.

Currently, the buyer and seller communicate directly after a successful auction to arrange delivery and shipping costs. NaijaBid facilitates the secure payment but does not directly handle logistics.

Payment is released from escrow when the seller delivers the item and the buyer has completely confirmed receipt and is fully satisfied with the item. For your security, escrow payments are never released automatically.
